Mobile Radiation Shields & Lead Barriers
Mobile lead barriers, portable shields and radiation screens for operating theatres, cath labs, X-ray and intervention rooms in Singapore and Malaysia.
Mobile shielding for theatre, cath lab and X-ray rooms
Mobile radiation shields add a fixed layer of protection between staff and the source, so teams rely less on worn PPE alone. They can be repositioned between procedures and moved between rooms on casters.
The ACOVIC range includes the Maxx Safe height-adjustable wrap-around shield, the Porta Shield for patient protection during diagnostic procedures, a multi-panel radiation shield screen that sits beside the table, and mobile lead barriers from 0.6 to 2 mmPb and above, with or without lead-glass viewing windows.
- Height-adjustable mobile wrap-around shield
- Portable patient shield on casters
- Multi-panel table-side shield screen
- Mobile lead barriers with or without lead-glass windows
- 0.5 to 2+ mmPb options
Mobile Shields & Barriers

Frequently asked questions
Do mobile shields replace lead aprons?
No. Mobile shields and barriers complement aprons, thyroid shields and glasses by adding a fixed barrier between staff and the scatter source. Use them together for the best protection.
Should I choose a barrier with or without a window?
A lead-glass window lets staff see the patient and equipment while staying behind the barrier. Mobile Barriers B, C and E have windows from 20 x 20 cm to 60 x 100 cm, while Barriers A and F have no window.
What lead equivalence do mobile barriers come in?
The mobile barriers are available from 0.6 mmPb up to 2 mmPb and above, and the mobile shields from 0.5 to 1.5 mmPb. The right level depends on the X-ray energies and workload in the room, so a shielding assessment by your medical physicist is recommended.
Can the shields be moved between rooms?
Yes. The mobile shields and barriers are on casters, and the Maxx Safe shield has 360° casters and height adjustment from 1050 to 1350 mm.
